How to make the perfect martini:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are numerous way to make a Martini: gin or vodka, little or no vermouth, stirred or shaken and an olive or lemon twist garnish<\/p>\n<p>The following recipe is for the classic Martini \u2013 remember to shake if you want to go Classic 007:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 1\/2 oz gin<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 oz dry vermouth<\/li>\n<li>1 green olive or lemon twist for garnish<\/li>\n<li>orange or Angostura bitters (optional)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Preparation:<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Pour the ingredients into a mixing glass or shaker filled with ice      cubes.<\/li>\n<li>Stir or shake for 30 seconds.<\/li>\n<li>Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.<\/li>\n<li>Add a dash of orange or angostura bitters if desired<\/li>\n<li>Garnish with the olive or lemon twist.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Variations in the classic Martini:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Dry Martini-<\/strong> Traditionally uses more dry vermouth, however recent trends define a Dry Martini      as using little or no vermouth.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bone Dry or Desert Martini-<\/strong> No vermouth.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Gibson-<\/strong> Garnish with a      cocktail onion.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Perfect Martini-<\/strong> Use      equal parts of sweet and dry vermouth.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dirty Martini-<\/strong> Add a      small amount of olive brine.<\/li>\n<li><strong>50-50-<\/strong>Use equal parts of      gin and dry vermouth.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Vodka Martini-<\/strong> Replace      gin with vodka for a nice alternative.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">2. And adjust your approaches accordingly \u2013 if you are being met with      blocking signals\u2026..back off gracefully, desperation isn\u2019t particularly      suave.<\/li>\n<li>Flirtation should be subtle but unmistakable.      Flirtation should never be coarse.<\/li>\n<li>Be funny and fun \u2013 making someone laugh can be      hugely attractive.<\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t be pushy about your feelings. Gentle      persuasion always yields better results.<\/li>\n<li>And should you strike out, don\u2019t be      disheartened.
